Most of us have heard the tale of someone receiving a phone call from a loved one who had recently passed on. Just the thought of such an incident makes our skin tingle, and yet, we’d all like to believe it’s possible to cheat death, if only long enough to say goodbye to our loved ones. So, are any of these claims true? Has anyone ever communicated from beyond the grave? While stories like this are extremely difficult to verify, we believe we’ve found one that will stand up to the burden of proof.
Our story occurs September 12th, 2008, in Chatsworth (a district of Los Angeles). There, on a curved section of track,a Metrolink train entered into the path of an oncoming Union Pacific freight train and the two collided violently together. An inquiry later found the engineer of the Metrolink train to be at fault. He had been texting his friends and missed the red signal light set in place to warn him of oncoming trains. The final death toll that day was 25, but one of the dying appeared to be clinging on for life.

Some scientists believe ghosts make a sound that’s somewhere in the 1-20hz range. Are they newly found believers? Actually, no. These are men of science seeking a logical explanation for why we experience ghosts, and they think they have pinpointed the exact cause. Could it be possible that ghosts have finally been explained away? If so, there will be a lot of broken-hearted ghost hunters tonight.
What we are about to share with you could explain away many ghost sightings, but by no means do we believe it will do so for all of them. Regardless, this article will definitely introduce a new weapon in the arsenal of any serious ghost hunter – an infrasonic sound detector. And what will it be used for? We’ll share that with you shortly enough.

I had a strange experience with a ghost. I’d blog about it on my own, but there must be a ghost in my machine.
It was October of 1976, and I was at The Little Big Horn in Montana, site of The Custer Battlefield. I’ve always had an interest in history, and especially the awful deaths those soldiers endured so long ago. Contrary to popular belief, those men were not uneducated brutes. They were mostly city boys from back east looking for adventure, and newly arrived immigrants looking to become citizens.
Having been to the battlefield so many times before, I became quite good at eluding the rangers and staying well past closing time. The sun was just getting ready to set and a chilly wind was coming off the prarie, cutting right through my windbreaker, so I decided to call it a night. Now, not all the men died in one spot and not all were identified. Small stones mark the places where soldiers were found, rotting and disfigured, mangled beyond belief, by The Sioux. The stones read unknown soldier or officer depending, and cover a great deal of ground.

Though many people see shadow people as just dark ghosts, others are convinced they are not the same thing. Appearing as dark shadows out of the corner of your eyes, they have also been captured on many photographs, making us wonder if we are being stalked by dark malevolent beings. To date, no one has reported being injured by a shadow person, so do we have reason to be afraid?
It’s always the unknown that frightens us, so perhaps by learning a little more about this phenomenon we can all be a little less afraid. Where do they come from? Why do they stalk us? What do they want? These are all questions that come to mind, and we will answer what we can to the best of our ability; however, we feel it’s important to reiterate that they have not as of yet posed a danger to anyone, and they might be nothing more than tricks of they eye.

There are those who believe Halloween to be the one time of year when the barrier between the world of the living and the world of the dead is at its thinnest, allowing both worlds to communicate with each other. The wife of the famous magician Harry Houdini believed this so much that she held a seance every year, with the hope that her late husband would speak to her from beyond the grave.
Every year she waited to hear that one special word. Did Houdini manage to finally debunk the spirit realm from the grave? As much as he spent his life trying to do so, one would think he would have tried desperately to communicate with his wife if he had been proven wrong. Then again, maybe only certain spirits can communicate from the grave, and Harry never acquired the gift.

Most of us have seen the movie Poltergeist, and we know many of the scenes in that movie could never happen in real life. For instance, no one has ever been pulled into a TV set. However, movement of objects and attacks on family members have been recorded, so we have to wonder if poltergeists might actually exist.
Research into this phenomenon is really difficult as it’s really easy to manufacture a fake poltergeist. By simply setting something to fall or pulling on something with fishing line you can create recordings that might seem very real to the untrained eye. Still, we have accounts from skeptics who went the mile to disprove such events, and sometimes came up with no viable explanation for what they witnessed. Are poltergeists real? We can’t really say for sure, so our investigation will delve into understanding what they are, how they operate, and possible explanations for their occurrence.

As one of the most violent gunfights of the old west, it only makes sense that the legend lives on with the ghosts of the cowboys still fighting it out with the Earps. So, are there really ghosts haunting Tombstone, Arizona? According to many witnesses, yes – and there’s no lack of them. Our journey into Tombstone’s past will start at the events leading up to this legendary gunfight.
Before we begin, we need to dispel a rumor. While there might have been a gunfight at the OK corral, the one its most famous for actually occurred in a vacant lot next to Camillus Fly’s photography studio, six doors down from the rear entrance to the corral. Another rumor we would like to be rid of is the one spread about the cowboys being nothing more than criminals. In fact, many of them were businessmen that were respected by the community.

On the border of Southwestern Missouri and Northeastern Oklahoma, there’s a small area known as the “Devil’s Promenade”, where people have claimed to seen a ghostly orb. Given all of the reported accounts, we can’t deny that something strange is occurring there, but is there a logical explanation?
The first researchable reports of this orb occur sometime around 1936, in an article published in the Kansas City Star, but the legend is said to go back as far as 1866. This timeline of recorded events is important, as it will have much to say as to whether the legend has been officially explained away or not. As always, we’ll present the facts and allow you to decide for yourselves.

Many legends appear out of the thin air, involving ghosts that are either helpful or mean. A prime example is the story of the helpful shoolchildren of San Antonio, Texas.
Since the early 1970s, many residents of this city have claimed the railroad crossing, where Villamain Road becomes Shane Road, to be haunted by youthful ghosts who will push off any vehicle that stalls on the tracks. For anyone seeking to disprove a ghost story, this one is a no-brainer. One need only park their car in neutral on the tracks and wait to see if the ghosts arrive to move it.

Many people really liked our first outing with ghosts titled, Pictures Of Ghosts: Are they Real. In fact, some emailed us requesting some more. Of course, there was grumblings across the videochat as we discussed going over this topic again. After all, what could we add that was new, other than a few pictures and videos?
That’s when someone brought up the idea of discussing the tools of the trade used to find ghosts. It sounded almost scientific enough to start another story, but we needed something else. What about a classification of ghosts? Surely that would add more to the story. And so, coupled with these ideas and some new pics and videos we have been encouraged to roll with this topic again.
