 Some might remember a while back when we performed an interview with “Julia”, a person we met in a forum who claimed to be a sang vampire. While at first we were heavily skeptical of her claim, speaking to her caused us to be uncertain about our own disbeliefs. At the time, Julia had mentioned that there were other types of vampires in the world; but the other communities have been closed to us, unwilling to share of themselves … until now.
A few days ago we were approached via email by a young woman who we shall call “Tanya”. For all the time we had spent searching for a psi vampire to interview, it seemed odd that we should now find ourselves the ones being approached. For the past year we have done everything possible to prove we are an open-minded community which is willing to consider any possibility; but we also are a scientific community, which adds the burden of attempting to explain that which cannot easily be explained. For this reason, we can understand people being cautious about sharing their life stories with us. This is also why we demand anonymity from everyone we interview, and we do our best to respect any information which they are willing to share with our readers.

 Every once in a while, a creature arrives on the scene that we know just can’t be real; and yet, it’s reported by people who seem reputable enough that we have to wonder what it is they really saw. The Mothman of West Virginia is one of these famous creatures and the story is bizarre and unbelievable, at best. However, no matter how strange a story might appear on the surface it still deserves to have its day, which is why we’ll attempt to reconstruct the events surrounding its appearance and to determine what these people might have actually witnessed.
Our journey begins with five people traveling late at night in their car by an old, abandoned TNT factory. There, they would see something that would frighten them all, a creature that just couldn’t be – and yet was! From this moment forward we will all need to remove our skeptic hats, as this thrill ride goes from 0 to 60 real fast, making the exotic seem quite normal.

 There are many cryptids in the world: bigfoot, the loch ness monster, the chupacabra, and others. However, few achieve such notoriety over so few sightings. The Dover Demon was only sighted three times within a 25 hour period, but that was enough to place it squarely into the tome of legends.
April 21st, 1977, several teenagers reported seeing a white creature with a large, watermelon-shaped head, glowing orange eyes, and long thin arms and legs with slender fingers. That, in itself, is a bizarre description – but it gets stranger – The creature has no fur, no eyes, no nose, and no mouth. This makes us wonder if the story could possibly be nothing more than a hoax. After all, for a creature such as this to survive it needs a means by which to discover food and to eat it.

 Here’s an odd story we managed to dig up. Pterosaurs in modern Africa? Who would believe it? We didn’t, but one of the accounts given did make us wonder …
For those not in the know, pterosaurs were giant reptilian birds that lived in the Late Jurassic/ Early Cretaceous period of Earth, some 65 million years ago. By all rights they should be extinct, but as we have learned from the Coelocanth, out of sight doesn’t necessarily mean out of existence.
One would think such a large beast flying in the air (some had wingspans up to 27 ft) couldn’t possibly go unnoticed, but we are here to report the story and allow you to judge it for yourself. Understand that we don’t make it a habit of presenting something so bizarre unless a lot of people show belief in it, or the story sounds like it might hold a credible thread. Regardless, our constant mission is to explain what we can and present possibilities for that we can’t.

 For thousands of years the Chinese people have believed in dragons and we’ve dismissed the possibility as nothing but folklore; however, that’s before we dug in and did a little research. The fact is, these winged beasts did actually exist and they once flew over much of the world. So, why aren’t we finding the bones? As it turns out – we are.
To understand the world of dragons we must first grow to understand the people who believed in them. Like other early men, the ancient Chinese were avid explorers – both on the land and in the seas. If they could have taken flight, then surely they would have explored the skies as well. Amid this age of adventure they met many new people and saw many new wondrous things, but all pale in comparison to the sightings of dragons. Did the ancient Chinese actually see real dragons? Provided on how you choose to hear the question, the answer could go either way.

 Every country in the world has its own legendary creature, even the United States. However this one is a very localized creature, living only in New Jersey.
According to legend, a witch invoked the devil upon the birth of her 13th child and when the child was born it became the Jersey Devil – flying off into the pines and into the pages of folklore. A fanciful story, admittedly, but one that has been shared in the Pine Barrens of southern New Jersey for over 260 years. With over 2,000 claimed sightings we have to wonder – is there anything to this legend?

 Perhaps it’s not fair to limit this creature to one region of the world, as there have been sightings made throughout Northern and Central America, but most of these were reported in Puerto Rico. So, if the chupacabra actually exists, that would be it’s place of origin.
What exactly is this mythical beast of legend? Well, in this case the name says it all. Chupacabra is Puerto Rican for “goat sucker”, and according to legend this beast drains goats of their blood. However, goats aren’t the only victim. In fact, the chupacabra have been known to feed on chickens and sheep as well. So, does this creature actually exist?

 We already know what you’re thinking … Weird-Sci is about to debunk another legendary creature myth. Well guess what – Zombies really exist! No, really, we aren’t pulling your leg here.
In fact, we’re going to share with you where they can be found, how they become zombies, and how they can be turned back into humans. Does this all sound like a bad horror movie? Well, relax, as we plan on looking at this scientifically, which means no (ahem, please excuse the term) voodoo science.
Before we start on this journey; however, we’d like to make something clear to all of our readers. While voodoo is used to create zombies, as a religion it has very little to do with black magic. As a religion, voodoo is more about protection from evil spirits than it is doing harm to others. In fact, voodoo is rarely used to wish harm on others.

 What would it take to convince you that vampires actually exist? For me, an interview was a good start. You see, I’ve seen all of the movies about vampires and I have grown to think of them as nothing more than a myth … and perhaps that’s what real vampires would choose for us to believe.
The vampire I interviewed, who we shall call Julia, had much to share; however, she was a bit skittish about performing an interview unless it could be done through a forum. This is understandable, if we are to believe that vampires are hunted and they are careful about revealing themselves, for fear of ending up on the endangered species list.

 We considered doing a story on the blood-sucking vampires we see in the movies, but somewhere along the path we lost our way and found ourselves in … well … a really weird place. So we had to investigate further!
As it turns out, blood vampires are proceeded by a more ancient type, know as psychic vampires. In fact, writings about psychic vampires go all of the way back to biblical times. And yet, today the knowledge of them is nearly lost. Perhaps it’s because they are a bit more concealing of their activities; or as we believe, blood vampires are a bit more frightening, thus allowing them a bigger spot in the limelight. Regardless, if they exist then they deserve some recognition.
